Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms and moms to be

Dear Family:

What a week!!!  Birthday and Mother’s Day all within 2 days!!  AND Kelsy will be a mama again this coming week.  We are all anxious to hear the news, but I’ll bet no one is more anxious than Kelsy.

We had a fabulous time at Sayler’s Country Kitchen Friday (5/12) evening.  Attending:  Taylor, Kelsy, McKay, Cooper and 9/10 baby Schnell, Don Lloyd, Scott and Glennda Field, Steve and Haley Lewis, Amy and Mike Grubbe, Brian and Megan Schnell, Marissa and Clarke Wallace, Hayden Schnell, Conner Schnell and me! It was perfect – food – family – quite a celebration.

Brian, Megan & Hayden arrived Thursday evening and we sat up talking until 12:30am.  I love those visits.  I remember the same thing happening when I was a girl and our family arrived at Grandma & Grandma Leishman’s house.  We kids ‘

I’ve just spent a few minutes reading some of the “weekly letters” from the last couple of years.  I guess there isn’t anything new to say about mothers, except that we love them, we appreciate them, we owe them a lot; like “sayings”, like attitudes, like similar characteristics, etc, etc.

Bern Williams - Sooner or later we all quote our mothers.

Booker T. Washington - If I have done anything in life worth attention, I feel sure that I inherited the disposition from my mother.

This morning while we were waiting for Marissa and Clarke to arrive, Hayden and I played a duet.  It took a few minutes to get in the groove, but I love it when we play piano together. 

Then the 6 of us went to Brunch/Lunch at Buster’s Texas Style Bar B Q.  It was delicious.

 

We took a long time to say good bye and they left for the airport.  Marissa and Clarke left for their temporary home in Milwaukie.  

I want to thank everyone for all the sweet birthday and mother’s day wishes.  I appreciate you all so much.
